Whether citrus triggers happy memories of childhood lemonade stands or timeless summer fun, there is something about lemons and limes that are especially refreshing in a drink this time of year. Here are some of our favorite citrus cocktails:

Whiskey Sour. Cindy first shared Ina Garten’s whiskey sour with me years ago, and I was an instant convert to the beverage that is sweet and sour

Pisco Sour. I lived in South America as a child and vividly remember my parents drinking Pisco Sours out of cool heavy colored glasses with brass bands around the base. I was thrilled when, several years ago, I began to see Pisco pop up on cocktail menus. It was a familiar word if not drink since I never tasted one until I was older, but it has a great zing and zest. This one by Rebekah Peppler in the NYTimes is a keeper!

When life gives you lemons, make limoncello! This recipe by Giada de Laurentis takes 4 days to make. The lemon needs time to infuse the vodka, but it’s worth the wait. It makes a fun DIY holiday as well as hostess gift

For something sweet, refreshing and non-alcoholic, our go-to is Töst, a sparkling beverage made with white tea. There is no citrus in this drink, but some of the flavors include white cranberry, ginger, elderberry and other wonderful, natural ingredients. Try all the bottles - they are delicious! https://tostbeverages.com
